Visit a Farm
The best way
to learn about the countryside and what farmers are delivering
for us all, is to visit for yourself or to learn about it from
someone who lives and works in the countryside.
The Royal
Highland Education Trust (RHET) is an educational charity, established
in 1999.
RHET aims
to create the opportunity for each child in Scotland to learn
about the countryside and to ensure a wider understanding of the
environmental, economic and social realities of the countryside
in Scotland.
Their key
activities include farm visits, farmer speakers and resource production.
Why not speak
to your school about getting in contact with RHET to arrange for
the class to visit the countryside or perhaps invite a farmer
to come to the school and speak to the children about the countryside
and about farming?
Visit the
RHET website on www.rhet.org.uk
or call them on 0131 335 6227. For
