Great news for the Highlands as Alex Salmond, speaking at Clashmore Village Hall in Dornoch last night, has announced that new funding has been made available for a series of events designed to mark the year-long celebration of Scotland’s food and drink. The additional funding of £25,000 will be spread across a range of Highland’s events and will be directed towards activity that supports the showcasing of the finest Scottish cuisine and the use of local and seasonal produce.
