It is now the end of February and the next step in my journey to promote Scottish food and drink is a big one.
I am leaving NFU Scotland on a temporary basis to go to work for Scotland Food and Drink on a 6 month secondment.
We felt that the farming industry and the food that it produced could really benefit from having someone from NFU Scotland
involved in the wider promotional body and I really feel that, despite being a challenge, the secondment will be a boost to
the farming industry.
The What’s On Your Plate? blog may suffer during that time as I won’t be spending time at the NFU Scotland offices but rest
assured that I will be working tirelessly over the next six months to promote Scottish food and drink.
